PMC Certification Level III: Advanced Metal Clay



In this class the student will learn advanced metal clay techniques, including how to make a hinged pendant, applying gold leaf to a metal clay pendant, enameling, and advanced ringmaking and stone setting techniques. This class is designed by Irina Miech and recognized by the PMC Guild International.

  • Dates: October 30 & 31, 2009 (Friday 10:00am-7:00pm & Saturday 10:00am-5:00pm)

  • Class fee: $350 (includes ALL materials and a copy of Inventive Metal Clay for Beaders).

  • Tools: Tool kit from Level I Introduction to Metal Clay class.

  • Prerequisite: Successful completion of Level II Intermediate Metal Clay class.

HAWS is coming to Eclectica!



Please join us on Saturday, September 26th when we will be sponsoring a fundraising event for the Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) of Waukesha County. HAWS of Waukesha County leads the community in animal welfare and assures sanctuary for animals in need.

HAWS will be appearing at Eclectica, with their Mobile Adoption Center, from 12:00pm - 4:00pm. Eclectica will be donating 20% of the days sales of animal themed beads, charms, and pendants, which will be located in The Bead Studio.



In addition, participants will be able to create an animal charm bracelet, with a portion of the purchase price being donated to HAWS.

Bead Rescue for the Cure


October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month; we are pleased to announce our first "Bead Rescue for the Cure," on Saturday, October 3rd, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Local artists and beaders will have a unique opportunity to set up in front of Eclectica & The Bead Studio and sell their beads, finished jewelry and beading supplies, with 100% of the table rental fees being donated to The American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research.



During this event, The Bead Studio will be hosting the work of nationally known author and artist Irina Miech, who will be donating 25% of the sales of her jewelry, including jewelry samples featured in her PMC and wire books, to The American Cancer Society. In addition, class sample pieces will be offered for sale.
